Waikato's BBC to double tech staff with $14m R&D centre

BBC Technologies wants to more than double the size of its team developing an artificial intelligence blueberry sorting system with a $14 million investment in a new research and development facility.  The company current employs 40 people on the technology side of its business, and wants that to rise to 100 once it builds a new site featuring a 2,500 square metre R&D facility and 3,000 sqm manufacturing centre.
