An eastern Bay of Plenty dairy company has had its Crown loan tweaked after “various setbacks” in setting up its butter-processing facility, official information has revealed.Majority-owned by 11 Māori enterprises, construction of Waiū Dairy’s geothermal-powered processor’s site outside of Kawerau began in July 2018, with operations kicking off just over a year later.Imanaka, a family-owned Japanese business, has a 33% stake in the company through Cedenco Dairy, one of its New Zealand entities.It raised capital...
