A multimillion dollar class action brought by homeowners against Carter Holt Harvey over its Shadowclad product has ended unexpectedly.According to one homeowner in the action the corporate giant owned by Graeme Hart’s Rank Group spooked its opposition into ditching the case, after its funder pulled the plug.The building giant made no concessions and will get more than half a million dollars paid to it in security for costs.The case, filed in 2018 and involving 117 leaky building owners seeking more than $40 million in damages, was schedu...
