Terraced and multi-unit housing consents continued to push new residential building permits through the roof in April, with dwelling consents up a seasonally adjusted 4.8% for the month and annual consents at a record 42,848.Stats NZ said consents for townhouses, flats and units reached 12,876 for the 12 months ended April 30, up 45% on the prior year, largely on Auckland's market for attached dwellings climbing by two thirds.The 1,623 new homes consented in April were ahead of the prior April record of 1,163 dwellings in 2018, according to...
