One-in-five New Zealand homes still suffer from damp despite a third of the country's 1.8 million houses being built since the turn of the century, according to a new report on the state of the country's housing.Housing in Aotearoa: 2020, researched and published by Stats NZ and the Building Research Association of NZ, shows dampness and mould remain common features in NZ homes, with 318,891 homes, or 21.5 percent, 'sometimes or always' damp, and 252,855, or 16.9 percent, with visible mould at least some of the time.The report,...
