Retail and business property owners say the government’s plan to intervene in contractual leases will potentially do more harm than good.The government yesterday announced a $40 million package to help support small business involved with commercial rent disputes as a result of losses from the covid-19 response.But the New Zealand Council of Retail Property said the proposal has come “after the industry has largely got on with the job of coming to individually negotiated positions over recent months."Chair Campbell Barbour said...
