Oceania to close nursing school amid procurement regulation changes

As part of its business optimisation strategy, Oceania Healthcare says it will close its Auckland nursing school because of changes in the way the country procures foreign nurses. In an update to the New Zealand Exchange (NZX) on Wednesday, the company said March 2025 would be the final intake for students. “With changes to the certification pathways for overseas nurses recently introduced, a decision has been made to close the Wesley Institute of Nursing Education,” Oceania said. The purpose of the Wesley Institute w...
