Auckland business association Heart of the City says the inner city is at a tipping point as the Auckland Council refuses to listen to commercial reason.Chief executive Viv Beck said the council and Auckland Transport had railroaded an “ill-conceived” plan which had only served to turn Queen St into a confusing mess for commuters and essential traffic alike over the past year.Beck said it's now one of the biggest areas of concern for a commercial precinct that, pre-covid, generated an estimated $500 million in annual retail sale...
