Home sales for April, the month spanning most of the covid-19 lockdown, showed a 78.5 percent year-on-year drop - but there are signs of a brisk recovery into May, according to the latest numbers from the Real Estate of New Zealand. Data for April shows that Auckland managed to get more deals over the line during lockdown, accounting for 538 of the 1,305 transactions that did conclude during the month, of which 27 days were during the national lockdown.
