One in every four residential properties in Australia is owned by a woman, ahead of the one-in-five held by women in New Zealand, according to the latest trans-Tasman research from property analytics company CoreLogic. While the report notes Australia leads NZ in terms of exclusive ownership, NZ has a higher proportion of properties jointly owned by males and females, meaning Kiwi women actually have a higher “in part” ownership at 77.1% compared to Australia’s 70.1%.As an asset class, housing is valued at more than $1.3...
