‘Pretty big beat’: Hallenstein Glasson impresses

Analysts are impressed by a Hallenstein Glasson trading update, saying the company is clearly outperforming its listed peers.     On Thursday, the retailer told the market that sales for the 12 months to Aug 1 were up 8.1% to $470m.It said net profit after tax (npat) was expected to be between $57.5m and $58.5m, the mid-range of which would constitute an 11.3% lift on last year. While he said the update was “light on detail”, Forsyth Barr equity analyst Paul Koraua said it beat his profit expectati...
