Employees at the Premier Beehive factory in Carterton are facing redundancies, their union has confirmed. Owned by Brazilian giant JBS Foods, the bacon and ham company employs around 300 people in the Wairarapa factory and distribution centre in Palmerston North.In a statement to the Wairarapa Times-Age, E Tū union team leader Rochelle Hill said: “We are aware of redundancies at Premier Beehive and are working through the process with our affected members."
