Cruise operators seek early review for winter sailings

Cruise ship operators are looking for an early review of the ban on vessel arrivals to see if they can get ships in for winter sailings into the Pacific. The government's surprise ban at the weekend is in place until the end of June. While that has written off the final months of the summer domestic season, New Zealand Cruise Association chief executive Kevin O'Sullivan said the industry would be pushing to have that timeline reviewed.
