Flight Centre axes 20% of NZ staff; parent drops dividend

New Zealand’s largest travel agency said it will make 250 workers redundant from today, following government advice not to travel to limit the spread of covid-19. Flight Centre NZ said 250 of the 1,200 staff it employs would be jobless from today, as the company temporarily closes 33 of its 140 shops across the country.
