Invest in EVs, take older cars off the road – MIA

The government could help drive the automotive industry through the covid-19 crisis by accelerating the uptake of plug-in vehicles, deferring penalties on less fuel-efficient cars and providing incentives to take older cars off the road, the Motor Industry Association says.The group's call for intervention comes on the back of a virtual halt to new car and SUV sales during the April lockdown, with only essential vehicles for the whole month and some sales during the three business days at the end...
