Vista posts $43.2m loss, claims stronger competitive position

Vista Group has posted a $43.2 million first-half net loss but said it is in a stronger and more competitive position within the cinema business. The result compares with the previous year's $4.1 million first-half net profit. With most cinemas around the world closed in the six months ended June because of coronavirus, earnings before interest tax, depreciation and amortisation was a loss of $6.5 million compared with a profit of $11.8 million in the same six months last year.
