SkyCity’s largest shareholder says a capital raise now would show poor “stewardship of capital” and reduce its confidence in the company’s board. Trading on SkyCity shares was halted yesterday after a report in The Australian that SkyCity was planning to raise A$200m (NZ$219m) in conjunction with an earnings release scheduled for Thursday.SkyCity’s largest shareholder is Allan Gray, which owns more than 15% of the company.
