State schools blocked 2.3 million online security threats during terms three and four last year.This amounts to 1,592 blocks every minute and is up 17% from the first half of 2020.Malware and malicious websites were the most foiled threats with 491 blocks per school per day during the period. In a new report, Crown organisation Network for Learning (N4L) said 2.2 million blocks of harmful content on school networks were recorded during the two terms from July 20 to Dec 18, 2020.Threats include phishing scams, ransomware, distributed denial...
