Ministers have been given advice on whether KiwiRail’s current form as a state-owned enterprise (SOE) is right for the government's priorities.The ministry of transport and the treasury did the review looking at the form of two entities, KiwiRail and the New Zealand Railways Corporation (NZRC) – which leases crown land to KiwiRail for the rail network.A ministry spokesman said officials supplied their final advice to the transport, finance and SOE ministers on July 28.“We understand ministers will announce their decisions...
