Dawn Aerospace has run five successful test flights of its suborbital aircraft in the hope of attracting commercial weather and climate customers. The space company flew its 4.8 metre, 280kg Mk-II Aurora plane at a maximum altitude of 3,400 feet at speeds of up to 200km/h between July 28 and July 30 from Glentanner Aerodrome just south of Aoraki on the edge of Lake Pukaki.
