Ascension Capital acquires Being Group, becomes Being AI

Ascension Capital has completed the acquisition of the Being Group of Companies and will change its name to Being AI.

The acquisition was finalised after the company issued all shares authorised by shareholders at a special meeting.

As a result, Ascension Capital now has 1,868,018,828 shares on issue.

The company's board has also undergone changes, with Sean Joyce as the executive chair, David McDonald as the executive director and group chief executive, Katherine Allsopp-Smith as the executive director, and Roger Gower and Joe Jensen as independent directors.

The name change on the NZX systems will take effect on April 2, 2024, and the company will trade under the ticker code BAI.
