Auckland Airport has announced discounted standard charges for airlines, which will come into effect on July 1, 2025.
The decision to discount airline charges for the final two years of the price setting event 4 (PSE4) was previously communicated to the market.
As a result, the targeted return for the pricing period of 2023 to 2027 has been lowered from 8.73% to 7.82%, within the Commerce Commission's range of reasonable returns.
The discounts will vary based on the type of travel, with per passenger airline charges for regional travel reduced by an average of $1.08 to $8.95, domestic jet travel charges decreased by $1.74 to $12.75, and international travel charges lowered by $4.86 to $38.86.
