Debbie Birch appointed director at Napier Port

Napier Port has announced the appointment of Debbie Birch as a director.

Birch currently serves as an independent director on the boards of Westpac NZ, Hawke's Bay Regional Investment Company, Tourism Holdings, Eastland Group, Miraka and Te Puia Tapapa Fund.

She is also a trustee of Tuaropaki Trust.

According to Napier Port chair Blair O'Keeffe, Birch's appointment is expected to bring valuable expertise and skills to the company's board, complementing its current composition.

Birch has more than 30 years of executive experience in the commercial, financial and investment sectors, as well as a diverse governance career.

Last year, she was recognised with the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand's Māori Leadership in Finance Award.
