The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has appointed a panel to consider Port of Tauranga's application for the Stella Passage development under the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024.
The panel, which will begin its work on September 1, 2025, consists of Bronwyn Curruthers KC, Hugh Leersnyder, and James Whetu.
A decision is expected within 80 working days from the closure date for invited comments, which means a resolution could be reached in late February 2026.
