Jonathan Waecker named CEO of Michael Hill International

Michael Hill International has announced the appointment of Jonathan Waecker as its new chief executive officer, effective from August 27, 2025.

Waecker, who has extensive experience in retail, brand, digital, customer experience, and transformation, previously held senior leadership roles at The Walt Disney Company, Yahoo, and The Warehouse Group.

He will be relocating from Auckland to Brisbane for his new role.

Waecker's appointment comes after a global search process, according to chair Rob Fyfe.

Andrew Lowe, who served as interim CEO, will resume his position as chief financial and supply chain officer.

Michael Hill International operates 287 stores across Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
