Kevin Corbally named managing director at ANZ

Kevin Corbally has been appointed as the managing director of capital management, institutional at ANZ.

Corbally, who has served as the group's chief risk officer since 2018, will be responsible for embedding improved capital management within the institutional business.

He will report to ANZ's group executive, institutional, Mark Whelan, and will also be a member of the institutional bank's leadership team.

Corbally's appointment comes after a significant period of change in ANZ's risk function, during which he played a key role in improving the bank's credit profile and leading its response to the 2018 banking royal commission and the COVID-19 pandemic.

He will continue in his role as chief risk officer until a replacement is found.
