Jewellery retailer, Michael Hill, has been ordered to pay $2.26 million in damages, plus interest and costs, in a litigation judgement by the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
The case, brought by Gispac, pertained to a dispute over the supply of packaging between 2014 and 2018.
Michael Hill Jeweller (Australia) is now considering the judgement and exploring its appeal options.
The company, which was founded by Sir Michael Hill in 1979, currently operates 302 stores globally.
