Moody's has upgraded ANZ's senior and subordinated debt ratings.
The senior unsecured debt rating was raised to Aa2 from Aa3, while the subordinated debt rating was upgraded to A3 from Baa1.
Moody's also reaffirmed ANZ's 'Stable' outlook.
The rating upgrade was a result of Moody's application of advanced loss given failure analysis to certain Australian banks, including ANZ, following the publication of updated banks methodology on March 5 2024.
