Napier Port has reported strong earnings growth for the first half of the financial year, driven by an increase in container cargo volumes and higher DLR and transhipment activity.

Revenue for the six months ended March 31, 2025, rose 10.6% to $78.1 million, while the result from operating activities increased 21.1% to $33.1m.

Underlying net profit after tax was up 33.4% to $14.8m, and reported net profit after tax increased 40.8% to $20.2m.

The company also declared a fully imputed interim dividend of 4 cents per share and a one-off special dividend of 2.5 cents per share.

Napier Port has revised its forecast for underlying result from operating activities for the year to September 30, 2025, to be between $59m and $63m.
