New Talisman Gold Mines has announced a delay in the commencement of production from the Talisman mine.
The company said it will defer processing by a few weeks into April, instead of entering production by the end of the first calendar quarter.
This decision was made to allow for the processing of more meaningful volumes and to optimise the operation of the recently purchased ore processing plant.
New Talisman Gold Mines said there have been no major issues in assembling the plant, but it has been a complex operation that requires fine-tuning.
The company anticipates scaling up volumes in May to approximately 300 tonnes and will assess the grades discovered by advancing the face of the Mystery North vein.
The company also confirmed that the terms of the Heads of Agreement with Terra Firma Mining for the processing site and plant have been met, and the formal agreements are being implemented.
