New Zealand King Salmon has reported a net loss of $20.8 million for the first half of the 2025 financial year.
This compares to a net profit of $6m in the same period last year.
The company attributed the loss to non-cash adjustments related to a fair value write-down on biological assets and inventory.
Pro-forma ebitda for the period was $5.7m, down from $13.5m in the previous first half.
Sales volumes also decreased by 17%, from 3,178 tonnes to 2,624t, while revenues declined by 7%, from $101.7m to $94.5m.
New Zealand King Salmon's board has held its ebitda earnings guidance range for the second half of the financial year at $1m-$7m, but is guiding to the upper half of the range.
