Nikhil Ravishankar named Air New Zealand CEO

Air New Zealand has announced the appointment of Nikhil Ravishankar as its new chief executive officer, effective from October 20, 2025.

Ravishankar, who is currently the airline's chief digital officer, will succeed Greg Foran, who will be stepping down in October.

Ravishankar has been with Air New Zealand for nearly five years and has played a key role in advancing the airline's technology, loyalty programme, and customer proposition.

The decision to appoint Ravishankar as CEO was made after an extensive international search, according to Air New Zealand board chair, Dame Therese Walsh.
