Medicare Administrative Contractor, Novitas, has announced its intention to convene an expert panel to assess coverage for tests mentioned in the 2025 update to the American Urological Association (AUA) microhematuria guideline, including Pacific Edge's Cxbladder Triage.

The panel, known as a Contractor Advisory Committee (CAC), is expected to be convened in early 2026 and will consist of urology subject matter experts.

Its purpose will be to align Medicare policy with the 2025 AUA guideline update.

Pacific Edge said CAC meetings are typically initiated by the MAC and precede the draft issuance of a new or substantially revised Local Coverage Determination.
