NZME has announced the appointment of Bowen Pan as an independent director, effective immediately.
Pan, who has a background in developing digital platforms and online marketplaces, is the founder of Facebook Marketplace and has also worked at Stripe and Common Room.
His appointment brings the total number of directors on the NZME board to six.
Pan will be required to retire at the next annual shareholders' meeting, but he will stand for election by shareholders at that meeting.
