Pacific Edge directors, Chris Gallaher and Mark Green, have announced their retirement from the company's board.

Gallaher, who has been the chair since July 2016, will step down following the appointment of a successor and a structured handover at the end of the year.

Green, a non-executive director, will not seek re-election at the annual shareholders meeting in September, as his family has made new commitments overseas.

The board's nomination committee has already begun the process of appointing a new chair and considering the recruitment of new independent directors.

The directors said they gave advance notice of their decision to provide stability and confidence to Pacific Edge and its stakeholders amid the ongoing uncertainty over Medicare coverage for the company's Cxbladder tests.
