New Zealand King Salmon Investments has announced the appointment of Paul Munro as an independent non-executive director and chair of the audit, finance, and risk committee.

Munro will be replacing Paul Steere on the board.

The company expressed its gratitude to Steere for his service, as he has been with NZK for 30 years.

He started as the company's first CEO and later joined the board as an independent non-executive director.

In addition to Munro's appointment, he will officially begin his role on 1 March 2024 and take over as chair of the audit, finance, and risk committee on 31 March 2024.

Munro brings extensive finance and governance experience, including 24 years with Deloitte as a corporate finance partner.

He has also held various governance roles and has worked in a range of industry sectors.

Steere's resignation is part of the board's overall succession planning, and his departure will be effective on 31 March 2024.
