Summerset Group has reported a 14% increase in sales of occupation rights for the first quarter of 2025.

The company recorded a total of 290 sales, comprising 132 new sales and 158 resales.

Resales were up 31%, while new sales were slightly down year-on-year.

Summerset's chief executive, Scott Scoullar, said the strong sales in February and March offset the typical slowdown in January.

He also highlighted the company's geographical diversity, with increased sales in almost every region of New Zealand.

Scoullar said 50% of the sales came from areas outside Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

Summerset remains on track to build 650-730 homes in NZ and Australia in 2025, including the delivery of its first village centre in Australia.
