Synlait chief executive Grant Watson has resigned from his position, after serving in the role since January 2022.
Synlait chair, George Adams, acknowledged the challenges faced by the company in recent months and commended Watson for his leadership.
Watson's achievements included the successful reset of Synlait's balance sheet.
The company said it will now begin a global recruitment process for a new chief executive, with Dairyworks chief executive Tim Carter appointed as the acting chief executive.
Synlait is a dairy company based in New Zealand.
