Vital has announced a new 11-year partnership agreement with Transpower, the national grid operator.
The agreement involves Vital providing Transpower with Radio Relay Links (RRL) as part of a capital investment to refresh its TransGO network.
This network is one of New Zealand's largest private telecommunications networks and is used for communications between Transpower's substations and sites.
Vital's chief executive, Jason Bull, said the deal would deliver high single-digit percent growth to the company's current ebitda when fully built.
Vital will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and managing over 26 digital microwave links for Transpower.
