Appointment of Director

The Board of Scales Corporation Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Qi Xin, as a non-executive director of the company. Mr Qi’s appointment is effective from 15 December 2021.

Mr Qi is a Senior Director of a department within China Resources Enterprise, Limited, whose subsidiary, China Resources Ng Fung Limited, hold a 15.1% shareholding in Scales.

Mr Qi previously held the following roles with China Resources (Holdings) Co, Limited:
• Director of Strategy, with oversight of the companies Strategic Business Units; and
• Chief Financial Officer for an e-commerce business based in Shanghai.

Mr Qi holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology and a MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In accordance with Scales’ constitution, Mr Qi will retire from office at the next Scales Annual Shareholders’ Meeting and will be eligible for election at that meeting.

Additionally, in accordance with Listing Rule 2.6.1 the Board have determined that Mr Qi is a non-independent director of Scales.
