Shelley Ruha Appointed Director

The Board of Allied Farmers Limited (“Allied Farmers” NZX: ALF) is delighted to announce that it has appointed Shelley Ruha as a Director with effect from 9 November 2022.

Ms. Ruha will bring a wide range of relevant skills and experience to the Allied Board. In particular, Shelley was, from its inception in December 2020, the Independent Chair of NZ Rural Land Management GP and LP , which is 50% owned by Allied Farmers*. This role gives her a depth of knowledge in relation to a key Allied Farmers’s investment.

Further information on Ms Ruha is set out below. She will be required to stand for re-election at Allied Farmer’s Annual Meeting on 24 November 2022**. The Board has assessed that Ms. Ruha will be an Independent Director.

Shelley Ruha Short Bio:
Shelley is a Company Director and Investor with 30 years’ experience across a variety of industries. Current directorships include Heartland Bank, Hobson Wealth, Partners Life, ASX listed 9 Spokes, and Chair of TaxGift. Previous directorships include Paymark, JB Were and The Icehouse.
In Shelley’s executive career she led large, complex businesses in New Zealand, including P&L accountability for businesses with revenues over $1bn and 1,200 employees; and in disciplines including Technology, Operations, Product, Property and Procurement.

* Shelley Ruha has resigned her role as Independent Chair of NZ Rural Land Management GP and LP with effect from the date of her appointment as an Allied Farmers’s director.
**An amended Notice of Annual Meeting will be provided to shareholders to include an additional agenda item to consider the reappointment of Shelley Ruha as a Director.
