Retirement of Chairman
Downer EDI Limited (Downer) today announced that Mark Chellew has decided to resign from his role as Independent Non-executive Director and Chairman, effective immediately.
The Board is pleased to confirm that Deputy Chairman Mark Menhinnitt has been elected as Acting Chairman, effective from today.
The Board thanks Mr Chellew for his leadership of the Company during a challenging period and wishes him the very best for the future.
The S&P/NZX 50 Index closed at the day’s low of 12,349.47, down 46.79 points or 0.38%.
Forsyth Barr says a premium valuation is now warranted.
The only worst performer is the Norwegian krone.
