Stride Investment Management Limited (SIML) advises of changes to the Board of Directors of the stapled companies, SIML and Stride Property Limited (SPL) (with SIML and SPL together being Stride Property Group), with the appointment of a new Director, Tracey Jones, and the retirement of Director Philip Ling.

As stated at the Annual Shareholder Meetings of SPL and SIML in 2022, Philip Ling indicated his intention to retire from the Boards during 2023, as part of the ongoing Board refresh process.

Philip has been a Director of SPL and SIML for nearly six years, a period of time during which Stride has experienced considerable growth and transformation as it continues to grow its real estate investment management business. The Boards and the Stride business have benefited greatly from Philip’s dedication and commitment and his extensive real estate funds management experience.

The SIML Board has been in the process of recruiting a new director in anticipation of Director Philip Ling’s retirement, and is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracey Jones. Tracey is currently the Board Chair of Nikko Asset Management New Zealand, and an independent director of Partners Life, Punakaiki Fund Limited and Harmoney Corp Limited. Tracey is a Chartered Accountant with a strong background in funds under management, operations and finance, and has considerable experience in property management.

The appointment of Tracey and the retirement of Philip will both take effect immediately. In accordance with the NZX Listing Rules, Tracey will retire and stand for election at the next Annual Shareholder Meetings of SPL and SIML.
