APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

The Directors of BurgerFuel Group Limited (BFG) are pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Gourdie as an Independent Director.
Alan has had an international career as CEO and Global Marketing Director for high-profile national and global organisations within the telecommunications and FMCG industries. His career includes roles that have been based in Amsterdam, Singapore and London with the Heineken organisation and in New Zealand with a number of businesses, including as CEO for Telecom (Spark) Retail.

Alan is currently a founder and Director of Quantiful, a SaaS company that focuses on AI-driven consumer-led demand planning, the Chairman of Eden Park, New Zealand National Stadium, and is also a Director of Tai Pari Mohio Limited, a Maori-founded and focused Healthcare Company working to provide more equity in healthcare through its EmergencyQ software and other applications. Alan is also involved in other private start-ups.
The Board welcomes Alan to BFG and especially recognises his unique and varied skillset, which will add further value to the current Board of BFG.

Alan Gourdie will commence as an Independent Director of BFG from
1 October 2023 and will replace Alan Dunn who will retire from the BFG Board on 14 December 2023. Alan Gourdie will also join the BFG Audit Committee at this time.

The Board wishes to acknowledge the services of Alan Dunn who has been an Independent Director and the Chairman of the BFG Audit Committee. During his time Alan has provided invaluable input with a range of contributions to both BFG operations as well as to the Group’s Corporate Governance.

The Directors of BFG thank Alan for supporting the Board in his role as Independent Director and wish him well for his retirement.

APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

BFG also wish to advise the appointment of Murdoch Ball to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Murdoch has been with the company since 2003 having first started at the company’s Ponsonby store on the hot line, cooking burgers. He has worked his way up through the operations of the company with various roles including store construction, franchising, and business development manager. Murdoch has been transitioning to the COO role for some months and this position has now been confirmed.
