Meridian’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) Bharat Ratanpal has been seconded as Interim CEO to lead Meridian subsidiary Flux Federation.

Ratanpal’s appointment is with immediate effect and has been made by the Flux Board after a review of the business and the recent resignation of CEO Nic Kennedy.

Bharat Ratanpal was appointed Meridian’s Chief Information Officer in March 2022 after leading the IT function since 2018. He has a wealth of experience from an extensive career in technology and telecoms, including leadership roles at Vodafone New Zealand and its predecessor Telstra Clear.

The Flux Board has asked Ratanpal to refocus Flux’s efforts on the Australasian market, in particular its existing customers. The Board believes this is critical for the future success of Flux.

“The Flux Board is delighted to secure the experience and leadership capability of Bharat Ratanpal. He has the ideal expertise to lead Flux through this next phase and is driven by putting the customer at the heart of the work we do, which is essential our success,” says Flux chairman Ken Tunnicliffe.
