The New Zealand sharemarket closed down on Thursday despite an upbeat trading update from major retailer The Warehouse Group.The S&P/NZX 50 Index closed down 0.24% or 29.86 points, falling to 12,467.03, with 38,433,775 shares changing hands to the value of $133 million.The S&P/NZX20 index closed at 7,386.17, down 0.32%, while the S&P/NZX10 index closed at 1,885.13, down 0.82%.There were 80 gainers on the main board and 56 decliners.The Warehouse Group released its third-quarter results on Thursday, with its total sales rising 2.2% y...
