SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SKC.NZX/SKC.ASX)

20 November 2024

Appointment of Chief Legal, Governance and External Relations Officer

Pursuant to NZX Listing Rule 3.20.1(a), SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SkyCity) is pleased to announce the appointment of Elaine Campbell to the newly created role of Chief Legal, Governance and External Relations Officer effective from March 2025 (subject to obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals).

Ms Campbell is an experienced executive and director with extensive experience leading organisations in heavily regulated environments in the financial services and capital markets. She joins SkyCity from NZX-listed company Chorus Limited where she has held the position of Executive General Manager - Fibre Access since February 2024 and, prior to this, Chief Corporate Officer & General Counsel, and General Counsel & Company Secretary.

Ms Campbell was previously General Counsel at AMP Limited, Director of Compliance and Head of Compliance Monitoring at the New Zealand Financial Markets Authority, Executive Counsel at the New Zealand Markets Disciplinary Tribunal, and Head of Market Supervision and General Counsel at NZX Limited.

She is currently an Independent Director on the Board of NZX Limited and the NZX Limited Board Appointed Director of NZ RegCo Limited. Ms Campbell is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Canterbury.

SkyCity Chief Executive Officer, Jason Walbridge, said “Elaine is a highly respected executive with a proven track record. I’m delighted she is joining the SkyCity team.”

As a consequence of establishing the new Chief Legal, Governance and External Relations Officer role, Nirupa George, currently Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, will no longer meet the definition of a senior manager for the purposes of the NZX Listing Rules from March 2025 but will continue to be responsible for leading SkyCity’s corporate affairs activities, including government, community and industry stakeholder relations and SkyCity’s public policy and advocacy. Ms George is scheduled to take parental leave from January 2025.
