Sky secures iconic sports rights

Sky has today announced that it has the exclusive New Zealand broadcast rights for the upcoming 2025 British and Irish Lions Tour of Australia, and has extended its exclusive broadcast partnership with US PGA Championship and Senior US PGA Championship for the next six years, starting with the upcoming PGA Championship in May.

Both partnerships add to the extensive range of local and global sport available on Sky Sport and Sky Sport Now.

Lions Tours are iconic events for New Zealand rugby fans, and the Australian Tour will be a highlight of the global sporting calendar when it commences in June 2025. The Tour includes three Tests against the Wallabies and six other matches along with a home fixture against Argentina in Dublin.

All matches will be available live and on demand to Sky Sport and Sky Sport Now customers, complementing the extensive range of domestic and international rugby available on Sky.

One of the four annual golf majors, the PGA Championship takes place annually in May in a range of different locations in the United States, and is the only major with an all-professional field, featuring the top players from around the world.

Sky coverage of the PGA Championship will include six hours of live event coverage per day, plus a range of clips and highlights.

This prestigious event complements Sky’s year-round and extensive golfing coverage, which includes the PGA Tour, LPGA, DP World Tour (PGA European Tour), all the Majors and the Ryder Cup.
