Rakon director appointment

17 March 2025 – Rakon Limited (NZX:RAK), a world leading manufacturer of frequency control and timing solutions, today announces the appointment of Jon Raby as a Non-Executive Director, effective from 24 March 2025.

Chair Lorraine Witten says: “We are very pleased to welcome a director of Jon’s calibre. His strategic financial acumen and extensive experience in financial markets and risk management are a valuable addition to our board’s skillset.

“We anticipate that Jon will contribute strongly to Rakon’s governance, including as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, bringing to bear over two decades of executive leadership experience in major financial services companies in New Zealand and Australia, including as CFO of New Zealand’s second largest bank.”

Mr Raby retired as Chief Financial Officer of ASB Bank in 2023, after over 11 years in the role. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of the New Zealand Shareholders’ Association, an advisory Board Member for New Zealand companies Slice and Indi, and has held previous directorships in the banking, funds management, securities broking, property management and insurance sectors.

Mr Raby is a Fellow Chartered Accountant ANZ and a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Post Graduate Certificate in Accountancy from the University of Cape Town, and was named Deloitte Top 200 New Zealand Chief Financial Officer of the Year in 2018.

Mr Raby has been appointed by the Board in accordance with Rakon's Constitution and will put himself forward for election at the next Annual Meeting of the company.

Following Mr Raby’s appointment the Rakon Board comprises six directors, four of whom are independent directors.
