DEFENCE ESTATE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION SERVICES CONTRACT EXTENSION
Downer EDI Limited (Downer) today announced it had received a six-month extension to its Estate Maintenance and Operation Services (EMOS) contract with the Australian Department of Defence (Defence).
Under the contract extension, which commences in August 2025 and runs to 31 January 2026, Downer will continue to provide base and estate management and support, estate upkeep, transport services, and land management services for Defence bases and training facilities across the Queensland, ACT and Southern New South Wales Defence regions.
“Downer is Australia’s largest sovereign Defence partner, and has been providing sustainment, infrastructure, and estate services for more than 80 years,” the Chief Executive Officer of Downer Group, Peter Tompkins, said.
Downer is currently awaiting the outcome of the next generation EMOS tender, with the outcome expected prior to the end of the current financial year.
